The Advanced Diabetes Risk Profile is a comprehensive panel of routine and state-of-the-art laboratory tests that can give you the information you need to prevent or manage diabetes. The same profile can also be used by a physician to identify diabetes and pre-diabetes. Anyone with current diabetes or who may be at risk for type 2 diabetes would be a good candidate for this profile.
Risk factors for Type 2 diabetes:

- Physical inactivity
- Family history of diabetes
- History of gestational diabetes
- Older age
- African American, Hispanic/Latino American, American Indian or Native Hawaiian
Why be tested?
An estimated 4 out of every 10 American adults are diabetic or pre-diabetic, and 40% of diabetic individuals are unaware they have the disease. In addition, damage to the body from diabetes can occur 5 to 7 years before diagnosis. Research has shown that lifestyle changes can delay the development of diabetes and slow the progression of the disease.
