Laboratory Sales Manager

DiabetOmics is a leading medical diagnostics company serving the needs of diabetes risk assessment and management. We are currently seeking a dynamic Laboratory Sales Manager to join our rapidly expanding reference laboratory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and achieve territory sales objectives.
- Effectively implement the sales strategy with target accounts, while keeping an opportunistic view with new target markets.
- Develop a call cycle, on average calling on a minimum of 5 physicians per day with an appropriate frequency.
- Execute a sales strategy that effectively communicates the clinical and economic benefits of patient testing performed at DiabetOmics laboratories.
- Communicate effectively with physicians to help them understand the benefits of comprehensive testing performed at DiabetOmics Laboratories.
- Build and sustain relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Open communication with peers and management team around sales strategy execution and account development
Requirements:
Desired Skills:
- Undergraduate degree required - Life Sciences or Medical Technology preferred
- 3-6 years experience in laboratory diagnostic services or pharmaceuticals is preferred
- A minimum of 2 years experience with primary care physicians and endocrinologists in the Oregon/Washington region highly desired
- Demonstrated prior sales success
- CRM familiarity and ability to closely manage prospect information in the territory.
- Salesforce.com experience a plus
- Ability to travel 40-60%

Medical Technologist
Position: Medical Technologist

Location: Beaverton, OR
The applicant will be responsible for performing the activities listed below, with strict adherence to all state and federal regulatory requirements.
Scope of key responsibilities includes those listed below (other duties may be assigned):
- Adherence to all DiabetOmics procedures and protocols for specimen collection, handling and processing, labeling, handling, preservation or fixation, transportation and storage of specimens, preparation and storage of reagents, loading of specimen tubes onto diagnostic instruments, analysis of patient specimens, verification of patient test results, and troubleshooting diagnostic equipment. Applicant will be responsible for maintaining patient records and patient test results with strict adherence to our Quality Assurance standards.
- Ability to perform waived, moderate or high complexity testing.
- Preparation of reagents according to approved SOPs
- Develop and maintain SOPs related to analytical testing, quality control and quality assurance.
- Responsible for assisting in the performance of quality control procedures and documentation.
- Responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of reagents and consumable supplies.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and in troubleshooting of diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain records of proficiency testing, quality control, and quality improvement activities.
- Assist the Laboratory Director in the overall operation of the lab; for example, focuses on helping the lab achieve reductions in turn-a-round time and continuous improvements in quality.
- Ascertain strict adherence of all laboratory workers to DiabetOmics Health & Safety Guidelines. Health and Safety training is provided annually and review is provided as needed.
We are seeking a certified medical technologist to join our rapidly expanding reference laboratory. This position requires a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in medical technology and ASCP, or equivalent certification. A minimum of 2 years clinical laboratory experience is required. Applicants must meet CLIA requirements for General and Technical Supervisor of a high complexity laboratory, and should be familiar with applicable state and federal regulatory guidelines. Previous experience with development and writing of laboratory guideline and standard operating procedures is preferred.
